REVIEWER RECOGNITION

Peer review is work. We treat it that way.

Publons integration, ORCID Reviewer Credit, annual certificates, Reviewer of the Year awards, and a clear pathway to editorial roles. Honoraria for fast turnaround.

Peer review is intellectual labour that traditionally goes unrecognized and unpaid. Datarsoft Publishing House treats peer review as work — credited, recognized, and compensated.

Recognition Programs

1. Publons Integration

Every completed review is automatically pushed to Web of Science Reviewer Recognition (Publons) with reviewer consent. Your verified review record becomes part of your researcher profile, citable in CVs, grant applications, and tenure files.

2. ORCID Reviewer Credit

Reviewer activity is pushed to ORCID via the standard CRediT review record. Your ORCID profile shows the number of reviews, journals served, and time period — without revealing the specific manuscripts reviewed (preserving double-blind integrity).

3. Annual Reviewer Certificates

At the end of each calendar year, every active reviewer receives a digital certificate listing:

  • Number of reviews completed.
  • Journals served.
  • Cumulative review hours (approximate).
  • Datarsoft Publishing House signature and EiC signature.
  • Verifiable QR code linking to the reviewer's public profile.

4. Reviewer of the Year Awards

Each journal selects a Reviewer of the Year annually. Selection is based on:

  • Quality of reviews (assessed by editors blindly).
  • Timeliness (consistency in meeting deadlines).
  • Volume (must have completed at least 5 reviews in the year).
  • Constructiveness (qualitative editorial assessment).

Awardees receive a special certificate, public mention in the next issue, and a small cash honorarium (separate from per-review honoraria).

5. Reviewer of the Decade Program

Beginning in Year 10 of the publishing house, we will recognize reviewers who have served consistently across a decade. This is a long-term commitment to the people who make peer review work.

6. Pathway to Editorial Roles

Strong reviewers are first-in-line for:

  • Guest Editor invitations for special issues.
  • Associate Editor positions when openings arise.
  • Editorial Advisory Board invitations.

Honorarium Structure

To incentivize fast turnaround, Datarsoft pays reviewer honoraria. This is unusual but it works.

Quick review (within 3 days)₹2,500 to ₹3,500 — premium for fast turnaround
Standard review (within 5 days)₹1,500 to ₹2,500 — complete, structured review on time
Late review (within 7 days)₹750 to ₹1,250 — partial credit for late but useful

Reviewer Statistics — Transparency

Datarsoft Publishing House publishes annual reviewer statistics (in aggregate, anonymous form) on the public Indexing Status page:

  • Total number of reviewers in the pool.
  • Geographic distribution.
  • Average review turnaround time.
  • Percentage of accepted reviewer invitations.
  • Reviewer retention rate year-over-year.

This data helps demonstrate the genuine peer review process behind our journals.
