Integrated Soil Moisture Sensor Arrays for Precision Drip Irrigation Control in Arid Arable Soils

Dr. George Washington Jr., Dr. Ramesh Chandra

Water management is critical to sustain crop production in drought-prone agricultural regions. This paper presents an integrated IoT-driven soil moisture sensor array designed to automate drip irrigation systems in real time. Field trials conducted on onion and tomato crop plots demonstrated a 40% reduction in water consumption and a 12.5% increase in total yield weight compared to conventional timed-irrigation schedules.

Longitudinal Modeling of Soil Erosion Risk inside Alpine River Watersheds under Changing Climate Patterns

Dr. Ingrid Larsen, Prof. Carlos Gomez

Climate change has accelerated soil degradation and flash flooding risk inside mountainous river watersheds. Utilizing satellite imagery and GIS spatial modeling, we evaluate soil erosion dynamics inside three major Alpine watersheds over a five-year period. The research pinpoints the precise elevation zones showing severe topsoil runoff and outlines strategic terracing and reforestation remedies.

Carbon Sequestration Efficacy of Regenerative Agriculture Schemes inside Semi-Arid Grazing Lands

Dr. Alistair Cooke, Prof. Sunita Krishnan

Regenerative grazing has been widely proposed as a viable biological carbon capture solution. This study measures soil organic carbon variations across semi-arid rangelands operating via adaptive multi-paddock grazing versus continuous set-stock grazing over a seven-year timeline. The data demonstrates that adaptive paddock rotations significantly enhance deep soil organic carbon pools and improve forage biodiversity.
